The Nordmarken Nature Conservation Card

The countryside is our most important resource, and we are more than willing to share it with you. But it is also highly vulnerable, and visitors must do their utmost to avoid spoiling it. To make things easier for canoeists - and landowners - we have set up a number of campsites on the shores of the lakes and waterways in the Nordmarken area.

There are also rangers, from whom you can request information and assistance while you are out canoeing. This extra service is financed by the Nature Conservation Card, to which everyone coming to canoe in the Nordmarken area is asked to pay a contribution fee.

The money administrated by the Fund is used to compensate landowners for allowing campers on their land, to carry out repairs and improvements, and to pay for the services of the rangers. Thank you for helping keep the countryside clean and for being alert to the ever-present danger of fire.
